AJ - RIP.

Death; a comma in the story of life,
Takes breath; little I know - much I feel,
Beauty on your wings; in your sight,
Soar further - the great pathways;
Gracing with your light

Thank you AJ.

and I will never be.

I am so passionate about art but is mine really worth looking at.
I feel as if I have a hopeless gallery, hopeless pieces of art and they don't get much better. Here's a little negativity for a tired saturday night.

I ain't gonna get the recognition.

Is there anyone who would like to suggest how I can manipulate my thoughts into my art to make for a more satisfying standard?!? Everything counts for something!

On another note. I love music. I think we all do.

...if you have an appreciation for the more electronic/experimental music genre by a raw musician, I have something for you:

It is my adoring boyfriend's music. He has amazing musicianship and he is a unique fellow. His music is unique, it is psychological and profound. There's a lot to this music as it has a real story to tell and one which is amazing. It is beautiful to listen to as it provokes thoughtful emotions... almost melancholic yet happy. It is a strange emotion we can have but it is so beautiful all at once. It is moving.

Now that someone I know and absolutely adore is coming up with fantastically raw musicianship and music, it brings a new light to new sounds and thoughts. It makes me feel other real emotions and clearly fantastic love for the one who makes it for me to hear.

Our mission is to unlock our minds, our thoughts, experiences and emotions.
It means a lot to me to hear his music. I hope and believe that it will mean a lot to you too.

I write this journal simply because I am in awe and full of appreciation for an individual of this world who is a large part of my life and his music and himself have impacted me a lot.

And on another-nother note...

HOLIDAYS ARE HERE ... I am in utter gratitude for that, I tell ya what! Just went through half-yearly exams. Today I went to an art day for year 12s. It is a saturday I know, but oh well.
WIP DAVE ... is in even greater progress as of today. I darkened the portrait and attempted to get the face depth even greater. It is coming along. With a few touch ups along the way it should be alright. I have a lot of work to do and concepts to develop.

I think this journal is long enough for the evening. Hope to message more of you soon as you are so intriguing, inspiring, enouraging and talented. Your art is profound, thanks for sharing it with us!

Where to start...

Recently I handed in my VAPD and part of an artwork for the HSC assessment of 20%. Hopefully I will be getting the marks for "part of an artwork and VAD" tomorrow.. at last yay. The artwork I handed in is a WIP of my brother. It's a rather large graphite crayon portrait. It's coming along nice and swell methinks.

This is not my only major work this year as I have the Extension 2 course major. Here is my short rationale for my 6000-8000 words short story:

" ‘Mind’s Eye’ will require substantial research and rigorous investigation (particularly into psychology of the mind, mental illnesses and psychological writing), incorporating profound character development. I envisage this psychological piece to follow the imagination and experiences of an art-crazed schizophrenic mother, Lia Woods. Narrated by Lia’s daughter, Lainey Woods, the tale will be set at their cottage in a rural Australian town. "

It's all a bit of excitement, yet still a bit daunting. I suppose it's always all about the experience as I continue to bring my experiences into my being... It's always all worth it.

I'm listening to the songs inside my head. Particularly... "Always look on the bright side of life (whistles)."

Lately I've really found my real passions for music, art, psychology and philosophy coming out more than ever. It all exciting me and making me gleam knowing about the mind and brain. I'm growing with them, and it's a beautiful experience.

I have realised how much attention my poor deviant art is getting, and it is about time I leave it much more loving. AS I am currently doing year 12, I'm sure deviant art and its most wonderful artists shall see some of the progressing work. I have already done some sketches in my fattening Visual Arts Process Diary and may scan them in so you can have a peaksies.

I am absolutely stunned and thrilled when browsing deviant art. There is such a vast array of magnificent and wonderfully talented artists.

Well I'm gonna get drawing or something of the like.
